Hallo, please excuse my stupidity, but could anyone please explain to me how to exactly configure the Exquis (latest firmware) to have no repeating/redundant keys and each key/note is only represented ONCE like on any other keyboard?
Thank you!
And I mean no redundancy on ALL available keypads, not only the lighted ones in the middle or something like that.
It’s a built in scale. Turn encoder 3 until only the rightmost led is lit white. You need to have the newer firmware though.
Thank you, c0ns1d1ne, I have done what you suggested,
BUT by doing so, I get only 39 illuminated keys e.g. 39 unique notes.
The outer 22 keys are not illuminated and pressing them gives me the redundant notes that are already represented by the illuminated keys.
Maybe you have understood me wrong, but as far as I can count, the device has 61 keys.
So I ask you again:
How can I have 61 unique notes playing on the device?
Maybe I’m just too stupid though. xD
Hello, you can follow the V1.2 tutorial or PDF user guide, so you create the « chromatic » layout (5;6) : https://youtu.be/BCVByLBeocI?feature=shared&t=40 (hold the settings button + click on right arrow, then turn the 3rd and 4th knob respectively to 5 and 6 hexagons)
Then you can select a root and a scale like before (on 1st page of settings), and even light all keys on or turn them all off if you prefer (« chromatic » and « off » scale), refer to the PDF user guide (https://dualo.com/en/welcome) to find them if necessary
Apologies, I thought the chromatic scale did what you wanted but I was mistaken.
This is it, finally. Thank you very much, Serguei!
No problem, thank you anyway for trying to help.
Yes, chromatic AND every note only once.
That’s what I needed.
