Exquis seems dead after 3.0.0 update

Using a MacBook Air M1, Sonoma 14.8.1.

Updating from 2(… ?) to 3.0.0 on 2026-01-02

The updater reported a successful update but after plugging the Exquis back in, it seems to be dead, there is no sign of life.

What now please?

Can you simply try a Factory reset (hold 2nd rotary encoder clicked while plugging it in)?
