I’ve had my Exquis for about a year and a half and I love it. Today however, It started to malfunction in an unexpected way: when I press the octave up button it plays (and holds) a D#3 note, making any other notes into chaotic slides. I experienced this behaviour using various SWAM instruments in Ableton Live (in controller mode). If I stay in a lower octave then the notes play as expected, but once I move into a middle register it plays a D#3 and if I go up another octave it switches to a C#4 note. This change of note leads me to think it’s a software issue, rather than a physical issue, because the keys being « triggered » are different physical keys and those keys work fine in a lower octave.
I’d be grateful for any help anybody here is able to offer. I have the latest firmware but I’ll update again now just in case.
UPDATE: After some more testing I realized that the issue is a physical issue, the D# note is triggering constantly. Some of my swam instruments just didn’t record the input for low notes so it made the lower register seem functional. IF anybody has any information about key repairs/replacements for an exquis I’d appreciate it very much!
Thanks so much!
