App running as a VST

If the Exquis App itself could be made to run as a VST/VST3 instrument, that would make it more useful in a DAW-centered production workflow.

Ideally, the Exquis VST would receive from the DAW host

  • tempo and MIDI stop/start messages
  • loop and snap on/off automation messages
  • audio in (to pass to the plugins inside Exquis app that use it, e.g. Surge)
  • plugin automation?

and it would transmit

  • audio (multichannel, arbitrary number of stereo pairs)
  • MIDI? some DAWs like Reaper can handle many « tracks » of 16-channel MPE MIDI

I would use the Exquis app with pleasure if it’s available as a VST.
I don’t use the computer app in standalone mode, it has interesting features but for me and my workflow it´s not enough to get rid of my DAW and too complicated to work with both on a project. So for now I just use it as a MIDI controller either for my DAW or DAWless with my synthesizers. Which is allready very cool. :grin:
